Amb. Bitok to vie for Uasin Gishu Governorship

“You know the campaign period has not yet been officially opened but when that time comes I will come to ask for your support. I know this time around you will elect me,”said Bitok.
He said if elected Governor, he will ensure the funds allocated to the county by the National Treasury is well utilized and that no funds will remain unspent and returned to Treasury as has been the case with the current county administration.


Girls Urged to Take their Education Serious

Kenya’s ambassador to Pakistan Julius Bitok has urged girls to take their education seriously since it holds the key to their future. He was speaking at Turbo girls when he visited some of the girls sponsored by his Amb. Bitok Foundation which coincided with day of girl child.
He says his foundation sponsors bright secondary students from humble background and also offers scholarships to study with prestigious universities around the world. He urged students to maintain high discipline which shape them to future processionals

Governor Mandago Receives a Heroic Welcome in Eldoret

Uasin Gishu County Governor Jackson Mandago arrived in Eldoret to a heroic welcome.

Governor Mandago landed at Eldoret International Airport at noon and his motorcade headed towards town, where he made several stopovers.

Thousands of Eldoret residents lined up along the major Oginga Odinga Street and Uganda road, cheering and singing as his convoy snaked through the town.
He later on addressed a crowd along Uganda road.

Do Road and Civil Works at Night, Contractors Told.

The County Assembly of Uasin Gishu has passed a motion seeking to have all road and related civil works in Eldoret done outside business hours preferably at night when most businesses are closed.
In a motion moved by Leader of Majority and Karuna/Meibeki Ward MCA Josphat Lowoi, observed that Eldoret Town is an emerging commercial and economic hub in the North Rift region and that it is important the county government to formulate policies and programs which will enable promotion of conducive business and investment environment.
