CRA Hails Uasin Gishu County for Good Resource Utilization

The County government of Uasin Gishu has been hailed for its efforts in proper resource utilization. Speaking on Thursday during a forum on second generation formula on revenue allocation, the Commission on Revenue Allocation commissioner Amina Ahmed said that the county had had no big wrangles with the commission.

“This county has an execellent local allocation of resources with no interference from neither CRA nor central government,” Ms. Amina said.

She lauded the Members of County Assembly for having the righ priorities and considering the views of the residents and not their selfish ambitions.

Uasin Gishu Assembly Leader of Majority Josphat Lowoi castigated those who termed the Assembly as being manipulated by the executive as shortsighted.

“Our critics have been saying that the Uasin Gishu County Assembly and Executive are bedfellows which I say it is true. The friendship has conceived a lot of development and advancement of this county,” he said.

On his MCA from Tembelio Ward Mr. Pius Kigen, congratulated CRA for creating an atmosphere of interaction that brings on board everyone in the implementation of the devolved units of devolution.DSC_2372

“When we interact we remove that mentality of seeing CRA as big brother with a whip ready to reprimand defaulters,” he observed.

CRA Commissioner Meshack Onyango pointed out that Uasin Gishu is among the fastest growing counties in the republic.
